Alejandra & Regina Bortoni

Founders & Directors, Openn

Alejandra is a Designer from IBERO, Mexico City with a Master’s Degree in Inclusive Design from OCAD University and a specialization in Accessibility from WAI. As co-founder and director of Openn, she tirelessly seeks to transform the design process into one that includes each person and identifies opportunities to strengthen business models and create inclusive experiences. Prior to founding Openn she led the Design & UX discipline at BBVA, and was Design Director at frog MX. She has helped companies build people-centered products and services in different countries and for various industries with clients such as Pinterest, Millicom, Facebook, Telmex, Compartamos Banco, Nacional Monte de Piedad, Kimberly Clark, Diageo, Bimbo, Pepsico, among others.Regina is Alejandra’s partner and sister. She is a trained Pedagogue by IBERO Mexico City focused on Instructional Design. As co-founder and director of Openn, she helps her clients create learning experiences for each person and transform current educational models to more inclusive and accessible environments. Prior to Openn she designed international educational programs for KidZania, the Centro Mexicano de Promoción Educativa, the Claudina Thevenet school and The Learning Club. She is co-founder and director of Fundación Medere A.C. (Escala).
