How can we, as designers, address systemic racism and unconscious bias in our work? In this talk, Kevin will discuss our roles and responsibilities as designers, reflecting on our own practice and challenging the notion of ‘good design’? As designers looking to make meaningful impact tackling systemic racism and unconscious bias, the work involved requires a shift in mindset to acknowledge the histories and lived experiences of others, as well as understand the practical changes needed to put race at the heart of our design practice.

As an award-winning product designer, Kevin specialises in design strategy, user experience design, and user-centred research. Prior to McKinsey, Kevin worked within multidisciplinary consultancies focused on experience design, as well as led digital design for one of the UK’s most respected institutions, the British Museum.
